my calves are thicker at 17" and a thigh circumference of 22". in sz11 the shaft fits my leg comfortably, even over sweat pants (I tested them just to make sure denim underneath wouldn't be a hassle later on.. perfect fit with the layer underneath, plus a TAD give (not "stretchy" though) can definitely fit socks without issue. the top part comes about 4" above my knee and ties to stay in place. All just enough to not look like its squeezing my thigh A++ after walking some, the pulling does causes them to drop a little bit.. but they haven't fallen below my knee, mostly likely because of how well and snug they fit me. the shoe part is comfy enough for a wide and long foot, just a little hard/narrow in the "outer shell" part, but that might go away or soften with wear. perfect soft boot and school trendy.Definitely size up I’m normally a 8 but I went for a 9 and it’s so comfy to walk in.My only complaint is that is has a weird fish/ leather smell. I’ve tried perfuming it but it’s still kinda there. I wouldn’t recommend wiping down these shoes either, the leather came off when I tried wiping a little bit with a baby wipe.I got these to complete a Halloween costume look and I fell even more in love than when I first saw them. I love me a chunky boot and I have a very similar pair in black but the side zippers on these are so helpful compared to my other ones without the zipper. They were also very comfortable, danced in them for several hours with no issues.Wear a solid 8- ordered 8 whole size too bigLove these boottsssss! Only problem is I’m very tall soo they don’t come above my knee just a little below my knees & I’m 5’9 . But not complaining!I’m obsessed with this boots!!Got them the next day after i placed the order. So comfortable and a MUST HAVEI was looking for a gogo style boot that didn't have a heal and these were perfect! They were super comfy to dance in. After reading the reviews I chose to go a half size down and I'm glad I did.
