These boots are really cute. They are not quite as comfortable as other Clark boots I have. Fit is true to size.these were extremely stiff and uncomfortableBoot ran small and narrow. Otherwise nice boot. Came on time and refund/return was very easy and fast.Run small and very narrow for size, other wise nice bootsBeautiful leather boot. Fits a little snug. I have a high arch and had a hard time putting my foot in boot. Once I zipped the boot up it was tight around my arch. Maybe once wearing them a few times leather will stretch. On side note- Amazon sent me used shoes. The boots had clearly been tried on and worn once. called customer service and it was some what resolved, but doesnt change the fact that I had to clean and sanitize boots that were supposed to be “new”.Why oh why are knee boots so narrow in the legs these days. I only measure 37 cm at widest point on my calf (really not that big) but I could only get the zip done up half way. I bought a pair of brown knee boots last year and they fit my legs perfectly even over thick tights or leggings.so I know it isn't just me. The boots are good quality (what you would expect from Clarks) and these would have been great as my new snugly black boots but, sadly they had to be returned.I ordered a pair of the Black(8) and Tan (7.5) as always inbetween sizes. 8 best fit. Lovely, lovely boots but look very carefully at the pic with zoom on inside leg to check seam a third of the way up on inside leg. Not the best of seams, more visible with the tan pair.I have a very similar pair of boots to these being sold and they are also Clarks. they have been wonderful for many years, so when I saw the Orinoco boot and had my questions very helpfully answered by other customers that the boots have an elastic gusset at top to stretch if a bit tight once zipped up. I had to have them. However I believe the reason why they are slightly cheaper than they are being sold on the Clarks website is due to the the extremely narrow leg room. They are the most narrow boots I have ever had the misfortune to try on, which is so annoying as the boots are a great style and the foot fits beautifully. Oh well, never mind.I’m glad I didn’t listen to some of the more negative reviews concerning size, these boots fit perfectly (size 5) and are lovely and cosy. I wanted boots I could wear with tights without having to put thick socks on to keep my legs warm. Wore them to work straight out of the box (30 minute walk) and no rubbing or pain. Less stiff than my previous Clarks boots. Great quality. My legs aren’t stick thin, but I could zip them up easily, although over trousers or thick tights would definitely be snug. But that’s what I wanted, and the furry lining keeps my legs nice and toasty in my freezing classroom!
